Media and Accreditation cards

Journalists and foreign correspondents can apply online for accreditation to exercise their profession within Rwanda, using our Irembo e-services system. Applicants eligible for this service are Rwandan correspondents, EAC journalists, and foreign journalists. This service is provided by the Rwanda Media Commission (RMC). 

Prerequisites: 

  • Applicants with or without an Irembo account can apply for this service.
  • Rwandan correspondents should have a national ID number while East African Community (EAC) or foreign journalists should have a passport number.
  • Required attachments are: An official letter from the media house requesting for accreditation addressed to the Executive Secretary of RMC (Format: PDF, Size: 500KB), a coloured passport size photograph (Format: JPG, Size: 500KB), photocopy of a press card or service card of the country of origin (Format: PDF, Size: 500KB), and a copy of the passport (Format: PDF, Size: 500KB). 
  • Applicants should have a valid phone number, email address, or both.
